Cooling Blowers
Blowers serve three main functions: heating, cooling and air flow. Although unit designs range from simple and complex, most blowers usually consist of some type of fan-like apparatus. Some blowers also use pressure pumps to move air or gas.
Heating blowers direct warm or hot air into cooler areas. These blowers are useful in drying, melting, welding and shrinking operations. The term blower, however, often refers to cooling fans and centrifugal blowers. Cooling fans are used in a variety of devices, such as computers, heavy machinery and air conditioning systems. In machines and mechanisms with high temperature outputs, these fans prevent overheating and part degradation. Blowers used for cooling purposes either send cooler air into a system or facility (air conditioners) or draw away the hot air (exhaust fans).
